     Pet Nail and Wing Trimming       

We understand clipping your pet’s nails can be a difficult and stressful for you and your pet. Left untrimmed, long nails can cause your pet discomfort and lead to other complications. If your dog’s nails get too long, they can break, which is painful and sometimes results in infection. Nail trimming is an important part of a regular grooming routine. We offer nail clipping to encourage pet owners to trim regularly. We offer pet nail or trimming for dogs, birds, rabbit, and other small companion animals done on site. For birds we also provide wing trimming service to keep your feathered friend happy and much easier to tame and handle. It is the bird owners choice whether or not to trim your birds wings. Some people feel that trimming a birds wings is cruel cause it takes it’s natural flying tendencies away from the bird. Sierra Fish & Pets feels that the safety of you bird is the most important factor and clipping your birds wings. Keeping your birds wings clipped will prevent them from flying away, hurting themselves by flying into widows, doors, or water, or flying into small spaces they can not get out of. Other reasons to keep you bird wings trimmed are for bird behavior training and taming, it also can help protect from extra damage to your home.
Please understand that if your pet is aggressive, overly stressed, or require more then one employee to perform the service, we may have to charge extra fees. In some of these cases we are unable to perform the pet clipping services and you will not be charged.
