“ Sierra Pet Shop in Renton, WA ATTN: Jonas 2020 was the year our upstairs loft came alive!!! 🙀🐠🐠🙀 We adopted two little tuxedo kittens in Jan. from a local cat shelter and in March I set up a basic thirty gallon fresh water angel fish tank in the kittens loft. Meadow&Mica spent hours every day entertained by their aquatic buddies. Summer 2020 I had several tank issues, such as a major summer alge bloom as a beginner tank owner and I struggled cleaning the tank gravel properly. Fall 2020 I discovered the Sierra Pet shop in Renton near a local knitting shop that I frequented. I wasn't sure I could afford a monthly tank cleaning service, but Jonas & his team were very helpful, made the tank cleaning service affordable and I learned alot more about tank maintenance and fish. By summer 2021 I was really enjoying our angel fish tank with monthly cleanings provided by the Sierra Pet shop team and I decided to upgrade to a quality 40 gallon "taller" profile tank that better fit the space in the kittens loft. Jonas did a wonderful job of listening to what I wanted for a tank upgrade and he made the customized new tank install a smooth transition. He even "cat proofed" the new tank to keep Mischievous Meadow from dislocating and chewing the tank cords etc. A few simple little upgrades made the new taller tank even more enjoyable. (IE: Adding blue night lights, a light timer, a digital thermometer and a back up battery filter for when our power goes out during storm season) Our friendly KOI angel fish "interact" with Meadow, Mica and us on a regular basis and our upstairs loft has become a zen place to drink a homemade latte or a glass of Italian vino with our courious cats and to watch our peaceful fish.🙀🐠🐠🙀 When we travel every so often, our M&M cats always have live entertainment interacting with their aquatic buddies from their viewing platforms in the loft. One has to get creative for their survival during uncertain times. Furry kittens, friendly fish and knowledgeable fish experts was just what we needed in 2020 & 2021 to ease our anxiety during a pandemic and a heated election year.
